About Me
Hi I’m David Fishman. I’m 17 years old and all my life I have been an aspiring food critic gaining more experience all the time by eating and writing.
I’ve been to many restaurants (both in New York City and in other parts of the world) and I have experienced rejection just for being a, “kid.” I feel like I can offer other kids, grownups and the restaurant world a different perspective on food. One from the eyes of a teenager.
Hey David,
It’s Jack from camp. I’ve got to say this is pretty impressive. I didn’t believe you when you said you were a professional food critic but I sure do now. See you next year at camp

Hello David Fishman 🙂
My name is Roy Ben Dror,
I’m a 17 years old kid from Israel,
I’ve just finished seeing the program they’ve made about you here,
And I’ve wanted to say..I’m impressed…
Your critic is amusing yet intellectual..
Your perspective over food is very unique,
you really pay attention to everything , from the food, to the cooking stage to the design and the atmosphere, everything effects your critic..
Well done and keep up the good work 🙂
Best regards…
Roy Ben Dror.
P.S
Any chance you come visiting in Israel?
(sorry for the bad grammar and\or misspelling , Gotta work on it)

Hey David,
Another comment from Israel following the show…
Just wanted to wish you lots of good luck. It seems like you are on an amazing journey.
Keep at it, perhaps you are the new male Ruth Reichel in the making.

Hey David,
Nice to meet ya yesterday at Hill Country. Too bad about the lack of space. Oh well! I enjoyed chatting with you.
It would be fun to do a joint food review one day. Let me know if you’re interested. I primarily cover Astoria restaurants but we can do one in the city too – whatever is more convenient.
Talk soon,
Judith aka Foodista of Astoria

Yo David! Nice to meet you Sunday. I love hamburgers, but I’m always concious of where it came from and who my money goes to. I prefer a grinder in the back to a factory. And I’d rather give my money to my neighbor than some retired dude in Arizona. Remember that!

Bro, I have quite a long message. Basically, I’m 15, I’m an athlete, as well as actor. Around last summer, I really started getting into food and cooking. I actually had an idea last summer to do exactly what you are doing right now; becoming a teen critic! Unfortunately, I never got the chance to start my blog. I created one, but I have always been too busy between football, gymnastics, soccer, martial arts, and acting… If you could, I’d love to chat sometime because I’m I’m in New York all the time for auditions… If you don’t believe I’m really who I say I am, you can look me up… Facebook or even google. There arent very many Aviad’s in America (haha). I can’t say everything in this one post, but I’d love to talk sometime… T

Hi all! I’m so glad you enjoyed my story, and I hope you will read through my past restaurant reviews on Fishmanfoodie. In the recent months I’ve drifted away from food, and moved to technology. I now write for Engadget.com, a consumer technology site. You can follow me at http://goo.gl/4hg5a for my most recent writing and roundups. Please continue to check back here, where I do post occasionally about my culinary experiences throughout the world.
If I am ever in the vicinity of Ílhavo, Portugal I will get in contact with you again for a restaurant suggestion!
Best,
– David Fishman

Wow! David, your natural way with words is nothing short of mind-blowing. I certainly hope you’re still writing. You have a gift. I stumbled across you, and your blog, on a lazy Saturday morning watching a rerun of Teen Kids News. (Not much on basic cable at 8:00am in Reno…) I had to read more. Keep fostering your art.

hey David,
I know it sounds really weird but I’ve just known you.
I was doing my English homework and I found your name on the book, well, there is an entire page of writing about you and your restaurant-critic story. I really admire you, so much, for being a model both for every teenager that wants to express his ideas and for who doesn’t value good food because he rather prefer junk food, that is unhealthy and also disgustingly artificial
So thank for appreciating Italian food, I’m Italian, you know?
